2024 Elections

The next election for registered voters in Hillside will be the March 19, 2024 Primary Election.

Online voter registration is available on the Cook County Clerk’s website: 

https://www.cookcountyclerkil.gov/. 

The last day to register in person at the Hillside Village Hall is Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Main ballot applications for the March 19, 2024 Primary Election are available at the Village Hall and online at https://www.cookcountyclerkil.gov/

Completed applications must be received at the Cook County’s Clerk’s Office by Thursday, March 14, 2024.

Mail Ballot Drop Box Information

Cook County Elections is once again offering suburban Cook County voters the highly popular, convenient option of casting mail ballots using mail ballot drop boxes for the March 19, 2024 Presidential Primary Election.  

Mail Ballot Drop Boxes will be available at these Early Voting sites.


Voting Registration

Voters must register at least 28 days prior to an election. Registration can be done in-person, by mail, or online. The Village Clerk’s Office provides voter registration services for residents at the Hillside Village Hall between the hours 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

In order to register, all following requirements must be met:

  • You must be a United States Citizen.
  • At least 18 years old by the date of the election.
  • A resident of your precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day.
  • Must not be convicted and in jail.
  • Cannot claim the right to vote anywhere else.

In-Person:

You can register in person at Hillside Village Hall, 425 N. Hillside Ave, 60162 or at a designated voter registration location. A list of voter registration locations is available at https://www.cookcountyclerkil.gov/elections/polling-places

To register at Hillside Village Hall, please bring two forms of identification. One of the forms must have your current address.

Examples of valid identification:

  • A current and valid driver’s license
  • A current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck
  • Lease or contract for a residence
  • Social Security Card

Online:

Recent legislation now allows you to complete an application online via the Illinois State Board of Elections website. For Gubernatorial Elections, online voter registration is available on the Cook County Clerk’s website. 

To Vote By Mail:

In order to vote by mail in Illinois, you must submit a Mail Ballot Application. Forms also available at the Village Hall.
