Emergency Management Agency

EMA Team

Overview

The Village of Hillside Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is a department of the village composed of volunteers who provide emergency response to natural and man-made disasters in the village. During state wide and federal disasters EMA becomes part of the state or federal response.

Membership is open to willing individuals who can devote their free time and efforts to help respond to and deal with these emergencies. Equipment and training will be provided along with uniforms and personal protective equipment to help perform your duties. Ongoing classes will keep you efficient and current in response techniques.

To be a member you have to be 18 years of age or older. EMA is an equal opportunity organization. Membership applications can be picked up at the Hillside Village Hall or call Scott Lundgren (EMA Director) at 708-796-2280.

We meet the first and third Wednesday of every month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Meetings are held at our Emergency Operations Center located at 4151 May St. here in Hillside.

If you’re interested in joining please feel free to call Scott Lundgren or attend one of our meetings as a guest. If you want to contribute to your community and help your fellow citizens, EMA can be that opportunity.
