Annual Financial Reporting Award
The Village of Hillside takes pride in the awards it has earned for its financial practices. For several years, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States of America (GFOA) has awarded the Village of Hillside with the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (COA).
The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (COA) is awarded to state and local governments who prepare annual comprehensive financial reports that evidence the spirit of transparency and full disclosure. The goal of the program is to encourage and assist state and local governments to go beyond the minimum requirements of generally accepted accounting principles.
