Voting Registration Information
Voters must register at least 28 days prior to an election. Registration can be done in-person, by mail, or online. The Village Clerk’s Office provides voter registration services for residents at the Hillside Village Hall between the hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
In order to register, all following requirements must be met:
- You must be a United States Citizen
- At least 18 years old by the date of the election.
- A resident of your precinct at least 30 days prior to Election Day
- Must not be convicted and in jail
- Cannot claim the right to vote anywhere else

In-person
You can register in person at Hillside Village Hall, 425 N. Hillside Ave, 60162 or at a designated voter registration location. List of voter registration locations
To register at Hillside Village Hall, please bring two forms of identification. One of the forms must have your current address.
Examples of valid identification:
- A current and valid driver’s license
- A current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck
- Lease or contract for a residence
- Social Security Card
Online
Recent legislation now allows you to complete an application online via the Illinois State Board of Elections website.
By Mail
In order to vote by mail in Illinois, you must submit an approved registration application form. Instructions and the address for where to mail it are included on the form.
