Police Ride-Along Program Offered to Residents

The Hillside Police Department continues to offer a ride-along program to all residents and businesses in Hillside. The ride-along program allows residents to sit alongside a police officer for up to a 4 hour period on any shift desired. This is an opportunity to demonstrate to our community our commitment for transparency, as well as a chance to get to know your police officers while learning modern policing today, and what obstacles exist.

This is an excellent way to learn about not only the Hillside Police procedures, but the Criminal Justice System that exists both in Cook County and the State of Illinois.

Residents 18 years of age and up as well as our younger residents 16 and 17, with parental permission, are asked to call the duty sergeant at 708-449-6131 to schedule a time and date.
