Garbage Collection Day
The Village of Hillside contracts with Waste Management for its residential garbage collection. Garbage pickup is on a weekly schedule. Find the schedule for garbage pickup below.

Collection Guidelines:
All solid waste materials must be placed at the curb for collection by 6:00 a.m. the day of your scheduled collection, but not before 6:00 p.m. the day before your pick-up. Flood Brothers does not guarantee a specific time the driver will be at your home. Please note, the collection time may vary.
There is NO collection on:
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas
When a collection falls on one of these observed holidays, garbage collection will be one day later for the remainder of the week. For example, residents whose regular collection occurs on Friday will have their garbage and recycling picked up on Saturday.
