The Hillside Fire Department is taking extra precautions to protect the health and safety of its community members and first responders.
IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING A MEDICAL OR FIRE EMERGENCY, PLEASE CALL 9-1-1
The Fire Department will continue to respond to all medical emergencies and fire related calls.
THE FOLLOWING PROTOCOL WILL GO INTO EFFECT MARCH 18th UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
- The firehouse will be closed to the public except for our employees and those in need of emergency medical treatment.
- We are temporarily suspending fire prevention activities, inspections, public education events and any other non-essential activities.
- If you are experiencing flu-like symptoms such as a cough, sore throat or shortness of breath please advise the dispatcher of these conditions.
Be assured that the Mayor, Elected Officials, Administration, and all Department Members are monitoring the ongoing situation and are working closely with Federal, State and Local Healthcare Partners. The health and well-being of our community remains top priority.
Please don’t be alarmed if you see our crew members dressed in gowns and with masks on. We are taking every precaution to ensure the safety of our residents and crew. Thank you for understanding, and as always, stay safe.
