Leaf Removal

The Public Works Department will begin curbside leaf removal on October 15, 2001 and will conclude on December 5, 2001. (Check your section for times). Please follow the program guidelines so that we may provide you with a timely service.
Program Guidelines

·
Leaves must be raked to the curb. No leaves will be removed that are raked into the street or gutter.

·If leaves are picked up with a lawn mower, they must be disposed of through the Yard Waste Program.

·Grass clippings or a mixture of grass clippings and leaves CANNOT be placed on the parkway for removal under this program.

·Yard waste such as grass clippings, flowers, garden plants, vegetable plants, corn stalks, vines, etc. should not be mixed with the leaves.

·Do not place branches, wood or steel rods in leaf piles.

·Branches can be disposed of through the Yard Waste Program by bundling with natural twine and placing one yard waste sticker per bundle. Each bundle must not exceed 2 feet in diameter and 4 feet in length. Bundles tied with electrical wire or metal wraps will not be removed.

·Leaves should be raked to the curb 2 days prior to your scheduled removal date.

·Once the Public Works crew has completed a street or section they will not return until the next scheduled pickup.
