Branch Removal

The Public Works Department will begin curbside branch removal on March 13, 2003. (Check your section for dates). Please follow the program guidelines so that we may provide you with a timely service.
Program Guidelines

·Place branches on the parkway 2 days prior to your scheduled removal date.

·Entire trees removed by a resident or contractor will NOT be picked up by the Village. (If you cut a tree down in your yard please make arrangements to have the debris hauled away).

·Branches should be piled neatly on the parkway with cut end facing the street in lengths of 8 feet or less.

·Branch piles exceeding the dimensions of 8' long by 5' wide by 5' high will be considered an excessive quantity and will not be completely removed in one visit. A reasonable amount will be chipped and the remaining quantity will be left. Residents are required to remove the remaining branches from the parkway.

·Branches and logs exceeding a diameter of 5 inches must be cut into lengths of 2 feet or less. All logs must be cut small enough for one man to lift. Roots and logs will be periodically collected by a separate vehicle throughout the chipping season.

·All root must be cut away before any brush can be chipped.

·NO YARD WASTE: Flowers, garden plants, corn stalks, hedge trimmings, vines, grass clippings, etc., will NOT be removed.

·No apartments or commercial businesses are eligible for this program!
