Storm Water Improvements

Published on July 29, 2017

The Village of Hillside continues to implement Storm Water Improvements within our community, and as Mayor, I am pleased to announce the completion of a 66 Inch Oak Ridge Creek Pipe Realignment Through the properties of 321 Center Street (Orange Crush, LLC.) and 330 Mannheim Road. The Project began June 4, 2017 with full operation commencing July 23, 2017 and was undertaken to improve flow and pumping capacity while enhancing storm water flow characteristics. The new pipe
replaces a series of original piping that was smaller in diameter and was installed in the late 1950’s and 1960’s to convey storm water to Addison Creek. This Storm Water Project will provide more reliability, storage capacity and improved flow in removing storm water from the Oak Ridge Drainage Basin.
