10-Year Census Information in Mail in Mid-March
Between March 12th and March 20th, invitations will be mailed to 95% of U.S. households regarding one’s participation in the once every ten-year census count.
Hillside Gets Grant to Modernize Public Safety Dispatch Center
In our Village’s continuous efforts to improve the safety of its residents, Hillside successfully sought out a consolidation grant from the State of Illinois in the amount of $449,738.48. These funds will go towards the cost of updating our dispatch center equipment.
Winter Snow Removal Reminders
Parking is not permitted on any public street within the Village when snow accumulation reaches three inches (3”) or more until snow removal operations are completed.
2019 Cemetery Tour Reservations Open
The 17th Annual Cemetery Tour will be on Saturday, October 5, 2019. The cost per person is $40 and reservations are required.

Meet Hillside’s New Village Trustee
On July 16, 2018, Herman L. Walter, Jr. was sworn in as a Hillside Village Trustee to serve out the unexpired term of the late Lytton “Andy” Andersen and was elected to a four-year term in the recent April 2nd village election.

Property Tax Appeal Workshop
Hillside residents will have an opportunity to meet with Proviso Township Assessor staff and determine whether a home is over assessed; where to gather evidence for an appeal with the Board of Review; and how to fill out and file the assessment complaint form.
