Our Fire & Police Departments battled it out with Steve Dahl and
his celebrity team once again in our 3rd Celebrity Charity
Softball Game. Unfortunately, the final score of the game was
not the same as the outcome of the money raised. The Fire and
Police lost to Steve and his team once again, 15-11 in an 8
inning game. But on the bright side, $12,000 was raised to be
split between The Make A Wish Foundation and the Illinois Fire
Safety Alliance Burn Camp. A special thank you to all the
volunteers from the Fire, Police, Public Works, ESDA &
Administration Departments. Thanks to Hillside Baseball/Softball
Organization for their help and also to Paul Maxa and his
family. Thanks to Mayor Tamburino, Clerk O'Sullivan and all the
Trustees for their support. A huge thanks to all the businesses
listed for their sponsorship.
Steve Dahl and his “all star” team played our Police & Fire Departments on SATURDAY, August 3rd. The game started at 7:00PM at the Hillside Commons. Proceeds from the game will go to THE CHILDREN'S BURN CAMP and the MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION. Last year, due to the generousity
of our residents and our business community, we were able to
raise $15,000 and $7,500 was given to each of these outstanding
charities to help children.
Everyone is welcome to the game and the admission is free.
Enjoy the evening with great entertainment and delicious food.
Also take the opportunity to win cash and great prizes in our
