Cemetery Tour

The Village of Hillside and the Hillside Chamber of Commerce invite you to the 9th Annual Cemetery Tour on Saturday, October 1, 2011.   Reservations are necessary and space is limited.  Please RSVP to Evelyn at 708-202-4343 or email ebelmonte@hillside-il.lorg.  Checks made payable to The Village of Hillside.

A summary of the 2011 tour is below:

Tour includes:

9:00 AM - Continental Breakfast at the Village Hall,  425 Hillside Ave. (Parking is available in the Village Hall parking lot)

9:45 AM - Leave Village Hall by Trolley for a tour of Mount Carmel and Queen of Heaven Cemeteries where we will visit "the monument that moves", tribute monuments to our Military, historical grave sites of entertainers, sports figures and legends in the history of Chicago. A highlight of the tour will be the beautiful Bishop's Mausoleum (which is NOT open to the public) and the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum as well as many NEW sites.

11:30 AM - Deli lunch at the Village Hall

A complimentary "Goody Bag", memorabilia from The Bishops Mausoleum and a personally autographed book by cemetery historian Jenny Floro-Khalaf entitled "Images of America, Mount Carmel and Queen of Heaven Cemeteries" are included in the ticket price.
