Christmas Walk

The Village of Hillside and the Hillside Chamber of Commerce is once again hosting their Annual Christmas Walk.  New and different things are happening this year.  Our Walk is on Saturday, December 1st.  The tentative highlights and activities are as follows:

Holiday French Market

Courtroom of the Village Hall - 2:00PM – 8:00PM

- Vendors will be selling items including Holiday Bakery goods, Jewelry, Candles and many gift items.  This is a great time to start your holiday shopping.  At this time, vendor space is still available and tables are $25.00 to participate.  Please call Evelyn at 202-4343.

Santa’s Arrival and Tree Lighting Ceremony

- Santa will arrive via Fire Truck at the Village Hall at approximately 4:30pm where he and Mayor Tamburino will light the trees at the Commons.  This officially starts the holiday season in Hillside.  Santa will then proceed to the Hillside Library to listen to the Children’s Christmas wishes and the Youth Commission will take free family pictures with Santa.  Face painting, balloon art and magicians will entertain everyone while they wait to meet the Jolly Ol’ Elf.

Christmas Walk Highlights

Businesses will open their doors for holiday hospitality and treats. Chamber Coloring Contest…pictures will be available at the Village Hall, Chamber Office, Hillside
- Library and Local Businesses.
- Live Nativity Scene at Crossroads Baptist Church.
- Live Reindeer at Luurs Garden Shoppe
- Free Trolley Rides 5:00PM to 8:00PM
- Free Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides 5:30PM to 7:30PM.
- Ice Sculpting and many other events.
