Free Snow Plowing

You supply the snow, driveways and sidewalks; the Village of Hillside will supply the personnel to clean them free of charge.  Hillside is one of the few villages that offer free snow removal for its senior citizens.
The following requirements must be met before the Village will clean your walks and driveways:

-A person must be over the 60 years old and live in a single residence home. Private contractors clear the snow for multi-family units.
-There can be no able-bodied persons residing in the household under the age of 60.
-There must be a minimum of 2” of snow and all streets must be cleared first.
-Plowing is only done during normal village business hours.
