A Message from Mayor Joseph Tamburino

Dear Neighbors,

Senior citizens today live a much different lifestyle than seniors citizens did 50 years ago. Gym shoes, sweatshirts, blue jeans, designer slacks, colorful blouses, and baseball caps have replaced the drab clothing our grandparents wore.

Where a senior citizen was once content to listen to the radio, baby-sit and attend church, today’s active senior citizen is into golfing, bowling, casinos, bingo, the theater, ocean cruises, wintering in the south, dining out, attending classes, traveling the world, and many other activities I could never envision my grandparents doing.
 
The Hillside Village Administration understands a senior citizen’s need to live life to the fullest, which is why we are dedicated to ensuring everyone’s life is secure, independent, healthy and as fulfilled as possible.
